Link Crew is a freshman mentor program run by upperclass students of Foothill High School. This program has multiple components to help ensure freshmen have a successful foundation of high school. Research shows that freshman year is critical to a student's success in high school. The following components of the Link Crew program help to ensure our freshmen success:
Freshman Orientation: This is the first event of every academic year for Link Crew. Freshmen are invited to attend their very first even of high school: orientation. Freshmen meet their mentors and spend half a day doing various activities to team build and get to know one another.
Academic Follow Ups: Upper Class mentors, Link Leaders, come into freshmen classes monthly to teach a lesson. This lesson is taught consistently to the entire freshman class. Topics vary, but include: goal setting, coping skills, academic plans, positive relationships and many more
Social Follow Ups: Freshmen are invited to numerous events targeted towards freshmen. Some include tailgates, movie nights, and various events throughout the school year.
